ANSWERS: (3) More than twice as long as the New, the Old Testament covers the entire period when all the tribes were visibly present. By the time of the New Testament however the ten lost tribes had already been exiled and assimilated among the gentiles for centuries. Accordingly, most references to them in the NewTestament simply confirm the Old Testament prophecies, without repeating them. Only at the end of the New Testament does the book of Revelation shed some new light on their future. |
