ANSWERS: (5)    This has been at the core of Christian Zionism since the 19th century.  In fact it is based on only one of the possible interpretations of a single prophecy.  And this interpretation contradicts several other prophecies.  Comparing and harmonizing the relevant prophecies leads to quite a different picture of the sequence of events:  First comes the return of the Jews and the lost tribes, both of them in a condition of what is described as idolatry and other spiritual filth.  After their arrival in Israel they are purified and led by the Holy Spirit to a new higher level of understanding than either of them had before.  On the basis of the new understanding the two houses are fully reconciled and ready for the messianic king.
